Having an elite player can transform a basketball team, but depending too heavily on one player can create problems. How much responsibility should a star carry? Can a team realistically compete for major trophies without enough scoring and playmaking support around its best player?

I think a star should carry a lot of responsibility, but expecting one player to create nearly everything is unrealistic. Even the best scorer needs teammates who can shoot, defend, pass, and create opportunities. Major trophies usually require a balanced team, with the star leading rather than carrying everyone.
