Moving from youth basketball into senior competition is a major step. What signs show that a young player is ready? Should clubs prioritize technical ability, physical strength, decision-making, consistency, or mental maturity when deciding whether to promote a prospect?

I think decision-making and mental maturity are the biggest signs a young player is ready. Physical strength can develop, while technical skills can still improve with senior coaching. A prospect who stays composed, makes smart choices, accepts mistakes, and remains consistent against stronger opponents has a good foundation for the next level.
