Why Do Some Basketball Partnerships Work So Well?

Certain player combinations seem almost impossible for opponents to stop. What makes two or three players work particularly well together? Is it complementary skills, understanding without needing much communication, compatible personalities, or simply having different strengths that fit the same system?

I think complementary skills are the biggest factor. A great scorer paired with an elite passer and strong defender can create problems in several areas instead of relying on one approach. Chemistry helps too, especially when players understand each other’s movements and know when to create, pass, cut, or take the shot.
