Baseball can look simple from the outside, but hitting a professional pitch, making a difficult defensive play, or throwing accurately under pressure requires tremendous skill. Which part of baseball is hardest to master, and do fans sometimes underestimate the difficulty of certain positions?

I’d say hitting is probably the hardest part to master. A hitter has only a fraction of a second to recognize the pitch, judge its movement, and make solid contact. Fans can also underestimate positions like catcher, where there’s constant communication, defensive responsibility, and quick decision-making throughout the game.
