Losing one important player can sometimes have a much larger effect than expected. Injuries, free agency, trades, or retirement can expose weaknesses throughout a roster. Why are some teams able to replace major stars while others struggle to maintain their previous level?

depth and player development make the biggest difference. Teams with strong backups, good scouting, and a clear system can adjust when a star leaves. Teams that rely heavily on one player may struggle much more, especially if there isn’t enough talent ready to take on a bigger role.
