The NBA receives worldwide attention, but leagues such as the EuroLeague, ACB, NBL, B.League, CBA, and others have passionate fan bases of their own. What makes a basketball league internationally interesting? Is it star players, competitive games, history, local culture, broadcasting, or the overall quality of competition?

I think star players can attract attention, but they aren’t enough on their own. Competitive games, historic clubs, passionate fans, local traditions, and good broadcasting can make a league much more appealing. A league also becomes interesting when viewers can discover a different style of basketball rather than simply watching another NBA copy.
